Ages & Stages Questionaire (ASQ) Training

The Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) is a family friendly tool, that is parent completed and looks at the child's overall development. The questionnaire is a great tool to build relationships with parents, learn more about children in your care, and guide activities to support the child's development.

Trainings will qualify and meet requirements for CCIP hours, QRIS matrix and incentive guidelines. Materials will be provided to start utilizing the ASQ tool in your Family Child Care Home.

To learn more about the ASQ, you can request an in-home training or volunteer to host a training in your home and invite other providers in your area. In-home trainings can be scheduled with hours convenient to the provider.

Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS)

A QRIS is a systemic approach to assess, improve, and communicate the level of quality in early and school-age care and education programs. Similar to rating systems for restaurants and hotels. California in the coming years will be utilizing QRIS ranking in relation to subsidy reimbursement. The specifics are still in development, you can learn about what will be involved here:

Eco Healthy Child Care Program
